UV-C DISINFECTION EQUIPMENT

Dosimeter Card

A visual indicator used to measure and verify ultraviolet germicidal irradiation exposure on a surface.

Why Do We Need UV-C Dosimeter Card?

UV-C Dosimeter help users visibly confirm :

if the appropriate dose of UVGI is achieved to kill targeted pathogens

if the UVC disinfection system is placed properly and reaches all intended surfaces

if the LED UVGI Lighting are working properly or if they require maintenance or replacement

How UV-C Dosimeter Works?

Patented photo chromatic ink changes color to indicate the level of UV-C irradiation on surfaces (278 nm ± 2). Visibly change color from the starting yellow, to orange to light pink to deep pink.
The color change correlates to levels of accumulated UV-C irradiation, which helps users see if surfaces have received enough energy to kill coronavirus.

Instructions For Use

These UV-C dose cards are designed to provide a visual indication of applied UV-C energy. For best results, please use them for every UV-C disinfection cycle and as follows:

Place the cards at desired location and record the information in the blanks on the card or as otherwise directed by site requirements. The cards can be placed in a horizontal or vertical position. Always make sure the color changing area faces toward the UV-C device.

Exit the room and run the disinfection cycle.

Verify exposure of the card and make any additional notations on the card. Always make exposure reading as soon as possible after the disinfection cycle and at latest within 24 hours after disinfection cycle to get most accurate result.

Retain or discard the card in accord with site requirements.

    Note:
  • The UV-C Dosimeter cards are one time use only and should not be used for several disinfection cycles.
  • The UV-C Dosimeter is only intended as a visual reference to measure accumulated UV dose, not to determine level of cleanness. If a card has been pre-exposed to light before use the card shall be disposed of.
  • Dosimeter card of other wavelengths are available upon request. Contact us for more information.
